Thermomix TM5
Switching on, simple mixing and cleaning. The appliance menu is set to English.
Step 1
Switch on
Press the silver selector to the right of the screen and wait for the appliance to start.
Step 2
Fit the lid and set the speed
Add ingredients to the bowl, no higher than the MAX 2.2 l mark. Fit the lid and TM5 measuring cup.
Tap the right-hand circle on the screen: the speed dial. Turn the selector, increasing the speed gradually. The blade will start moving.
The arms close automatically
When mixing starts, the two arms secure the lid. This is normal. Do not hold them or put your fingers underneath them.
To stop, set the speed to 0. Wait until the blade stops and the arms release the lid. Never force it open.
For cooking, also set the time and temperature according to the recipe. Do not use Turbo for hot food.
Step 3
Cleaning and disassembly
Stop the appliance, wait for the arms to unlock, switch it off and unplug it. Empty the bowl; if it is hot, let it cool.
Remove the bowl
Take off the lid and lift the bowl out by its handle.

Keep the bowl upright. Turn the black base anticlockwise and pull it downwards to remove it.
Turn the bowl base Remove the blade
Hold the blade assembly by its centre, not its cutting edges. Carefully remove it together with its sealing ring.
Remove the blade Ready to wash
The bowl, blade, black bowl base, lid and measuring cup are dishwasher-safe. Use a programme up to 65°C. Do not put the electronic main unit or Cook-Key/Recipe Chip in the dishwasher; wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
